ᐅ IKEA Metod 20-inch drawers look better than the wire basket drawers.

I’m currently at IKEA and just tried out the new 20cm (8 inches) wide, 80cm (31 inches) high Metod drawers that will replace the previous wire drawers. They are white inside, have two levels (not sure if height adjustable), and feature soft close. I don’t know the price and whether I’m allowed to upload a photo I took myself. But I liked them much better than the old ones!
Why would you want to retrofit additional rails? Two rails are more than enough to provide the necessary load capacity for such narrow shelving surfaces, and you can still adjust both the front height and the front tilt on both sides, even if a rail is only installed on one side.

Do you know if the upper rail of the drawer can be adjusted in height?
In the assembly instructions, on page 27 at step 22, it shows that the rear connection has several levels. Are these spaced 5cm (2 inches) apart, so that you could move the screws down by up to two holes? You would just need to position the holes differently at step 6 accordingly.

Dr_Feelgood11 Jan 2017 09:02Hello everyone,
I still have the old wire mesh version in my kitchen. Since this pull-out is really poor quality, I would like to replace it with the new one. Has anyone done this before, especially while it was already installed? I don’t want to move the kitchen again because of this...
Best regards,
Simon
