ᐅ IKEA Metod 20-inch drawers look better than the wire basket drawers.

I’m currently at IKEA and just tried out the new 20cm (8 inches) wide, 80cm (31 inches) high Metod drawers that will replace the previous wire drawers. They are white inside, have two levels (not sure if height adjustable), and feature soft close. I don’t know the price and whether I’m allowed to upload a photo I took myself. But I liked them much better than the old ones!
I just spent about 25 minutes fiddling with the cabinet and testing various combinations, but didn’t have much success and the front still doesn’t sit better at the bottom... pretty frustrating for a perfectionist like me, especially since the rest of the kitchen has consistent spacing at the top, bottom, and between elements.

The new Maximera 20 mm (0.8 inch) drawer slides are definitely much better than the old Utrusta 20 mm (0.8 inch) slides, as several people have already confirmed in this thread.
If the front panel is actually sticking out at the bottom, I would check the mounting points of the drawer rails (which can be a bit tricky to see with a 20 mm (0.8 inch) cabinet). Alternatively, it’s also possible that the drilling template was either not positioned properly during installation or that the template itself was simply printed with insufficient accuracy.
I’m a perfectionist as well and would definitely request a remedy for this.

robi_aus_ffm18 Aug 2016 22:45The 20 cm (8 inch) drawers only have one attachment point on the rail at the top right and one at the bottom left, unlike the wider ones which have attachments on both sides. (Manual page 26)
Could this be related?
Is there a possibility to attach the rails on both sides for these drawers as well (which would mean ordering two more rails)?
Regards, robi
