ᐅ Ikea Maximera (Metod) as a Replacement for Rationell (Faktum)

Hello everyone,

Since nobody at Ikea could tell me whether Maximera fits into a Faktum cabinet, I tried it myself.

Purchased: Maximera 60x60cm (24x24 inches) medium size for internal installation.

Result:
- Width and depth fit without any issues.
- The screw hole pattern is different. This means the rail holes do not match the holes in the cabinet, and the drawer front protrudes.

Solution:
- Move or drill new holes in the cabinet for the rail holes, i.e., shift them backward/inward.

I hope some of you find this information helpful. It helped me because the replacement Rationell drawers have not been available since the Metod system change.

Hello, it should also be mentioned that the fronts require new drillings.

I used the Metod Utrusta fronts and didn’t have to make any modifications.
