Dear forum,

perhaps someone can quickly help me regarding a Maximera cabinet: We are getting our IKEA kitchen on Monday, but we have the problem that we couldn’t remove an old dishwasher water tap (for various reasons), which is located where a drawer cabinet is planned. With a "standard" cabinet, the option would be to modify the Pax back panel, but what about drawers? Does anyone know how much space is available there? Or does anyone have an idea on how to solve this problem? (I’m afraid it might not be resolvable)

Thank you for your responses.

Shut off the water, unscrew the valve from the wall, screw in a blind plug, done.

Install a small drawer at that spot and cut out the back panel.

I just measured, about 15cm (6 inches) of space up to the wall.

When in doubt, as mentioned by Knallkörper, use the 37mm (1.5 inches) drawers or adjust the drawer accordingly. We did this under the sink.
