Hi everyone,
I’m digging up this old thread again.
I would also like to buy a MARKUS. I visited one of the stores last Saturday and asked one of their staff members if parquet wheels are available for it. I was told that such wheels used to exist but are no longer offered. Now, I don’t want to put any plastic floor protection in my living room—that’s out of the question.
So my question is: Where can I get suitable parquet wheels for MARKUS? Or do wheels from other suppliers fit as well? In that case, I would be very interested in the diameter of the wheel stem pins.
I hope someone here can help.
Best regards
Philipp

Even though it was a while ago, here is my opinion on the matter:
I once bought casters for a different swivel chair that were supposed to be suitable for parquet flooring. After extensive research, I found out that these casters with soft material (soft casters are logically needed for hard floors) can be identified by their two-tone color. Hard casters for soft floors are usually single-colored, mostly black.
I later purchased the "Markus" chair about 4 months ago. It has two-tone casters that are also relatively soft.
However, I want to mention that whether you see marks does not depend solely on the casters but also significantly on the hardness of the wooden floor (or its surface) and the weight of the individual. In my case, this meant that I eventually used a plastic mat... Marks were still visible on the relatively soft plank floor.
Aside from that, the "Markus" is very comfortable... I would buy it again.
