ᐅ Ikea Malm with Rust from External Sources and a Non-Original Mattress

Hello,

I am considering getting a Malm bed in 140x200 cm (55x79 inches). I have read in some online forums that supposedly only slatted bed bases and mattresses from Ikea really fit, and that products from other manufacturers tend to "slip through." Since I want to use a slatted bed base and mattress from a different brand, I would be interested in hearing about your experiences on this topic!

It should normally work, since a 2-meter (6 feet 7 inches) bed is exactly 2 meters (6 feet 7 inches) long and has only slight tolerances. I am not sure if this is standardized.

It is not standardized, but it should still work. Sometimes it doesn’t work because of the center beam with the slatted frame, but you should definitely use it.
