Hello everyone,

I need the bottom panel for the drawer of the Malm dresser (item number 801.033.44), and I have given up trying to find out directly from IKEA whether they can supply such a part.

Green dresser with four equally sized drawers, simple piece of furniture

MALM
Dresser with 3 drawers, light green

On the website, there is an option to order screws and fittings, but there is no information about whether other replacement parts can be ordered. The phone hotline menu just keeps deflecting me. My only remaining option would be to go there in person and ask at the information desk, which is not ideal during the pre-Christmas season.

A clear notice about this topic on the website would be helpful.

Can anyone assist me?
Important: This is not a defective part delivered originally, but an approximately 8-year-old dresser where a bottom panel became unusable due to a leaking battery. I no longer have the purchase receipt.

Thanks & regards,
Christian

You cannot reorder parts that do not have their own article number. Perhaps repairing using timber from a hardware store could be an option?

Hello,

according to Ikea, the drawer bottom is made of hardboard. You can usually have a panel made of this material cut to size with various finishes at most hardware stores. Just take the old bottom with you (or measure it).

In the IKEA As-Is section, you can often find inexpensive items that you can use for these repairs.
