I bought a used Ivar desk top. For a change, the part number is actually printed on it: 174.883.09. Somehow, I feel like parts are missing or I'm just not getting it. In any case, I can’t assemble it properly. I’m a bit worried that, like with the Ivar folding table (without which I would never have thought of this), dowels might be needed. Does anyone have the assembly instructions and could send me a copy? Thanks.

Until a few days ago, Ikea USA offered an archive of older instruction manuals for download – unfortunately, this was discontinued this week (or moved elsewhere), but it can still be found in the Internet Archive (see the link above).
