here is a little inspiration: illuminated Hemnes display cabinet with 3 drawers in the color dark brown. About a year ago, we bought this beautiful cabinet. It bothered me that it didn’t have built-in lighting. I solved this with DIODER light strips. You can see the result in the pictures.
There are 2 light strips installed per shelf. I routed the recess for the strips with a router. The cables are guided through a channel (which I drilled) to the back panel. The rest of the wiring is located on the backside.
Required materials:
1 x Hemnes display cabinet with 3 drawers
2 x DIODER white light strips
1 x Paint (RAL 060 20 05) for the routed surfaces
Tools:
Router
Cordless screwdriver/drill
Brush
Sandpaper

I'm still a bit unclear about the channel for the cable. Did you drill a deep hole into the board for it? What diameter?
