Hello!
I just ordered an IKEA kitchen. Now, in all the magazines, you often see the stylish GRUNDTAL spotlights installed above the countertop and inside the glass cabinets. I would like to do the same and have bought two sets of 3 GRUNDTAL spotlights each. However, I’ve heard that these cannot be connected together.
If I want to install two in the glass cabinet and the remaining four above the countertop, how can I wire them to operate together? Are there any experience reports or even installation photos?
Have you encountered similar issues?
Why is it shown like this everywhere, but the installation turns out to be so complicated?
I would appreciate your help!

Hi, so in my GRUNDTALspots junction box, I can connect up to six spotlights..?

Really? Two Ikea employees separately insisted to me that it’s not possible... overvoltage and so on...

How do you do it? Do you unscrew the socket?

And one more question, where did you hide the cables? Visible under the tall cabinet, or hidden inside the tall cabinet?
I’d like to have them hidden inside the cabinet, but then the cables would be inside the cabinet.
How do you handle that?

ps. Thanks in advance 🙂

😀

Yes, I have thought about that as well. I think either a board will need to be placed underneath or a second shelf installed inside the cabinet. Thank you very much for the help!

Yes, a second shelf is also a good idea, but with the other option, you won’t damage the cabinets. 😉
After all, you get a 25 (!) year warranty on that!
