ᐅ IKEA GRUNDTAL Cabinet Lighting – Which Screws Are Recommended?

This is about the following lighting:

Grundtal cabinet lighting, stainless steel
Item number: 001.298.71

As usual, no fittings are included in the delivery.

1. Which screws would you recommend for mounting on a Billy bookshelf? The shelf has a thickness of about 18mm (0.7 inches).
2. Should this rail fixture always be installed, or only if there is an edge (door) in the way?

1. Panhead screws 12-15 mm (0.5-0.6 inches) long, diameter 3-4 mm (0.1-0.2 inches) – bring the fixture and try which fits best in the holes.
2. Only necessary if the installation situation or the aesthetics require it.
