Hello mups,
you’re in the same situation as me. I don’t like the reflective overload either, especially since mirror film is applied inside. I’m thinking about attaching mirror surfaces to the doors of a Godmorgon wall cabinet. For lighting – I’m also considering placing it above a Storrjorm cabinet – the Godmorgon light, which can be mounted on top, seems suitable.

What I also don’t like is the shallow depth of the wall cabinet, only 14cm (5½ inches).
Are there any alternative wall cabinets with a slightly greater depth (with or without a mirror)?
Best regards

Nice to know I’m not the only one dealing with this! I can’t convince my husband to agree to this mirror overdose either.
And sticking mirror panels on the door? Won’t that make the door too heavy?
I actually like the shallow depth; everything else feels too much like the classic plastic storage cabinet.
Best regards

IKEA-Experte28 Feb 2015 18:39Attaching the mirrored doors to a different cabinet frame should not be a problem, but then you would need to buy two cabinets. If you were to use a different back panel for the mirrored cabinet (with some luck, cut to size by customer service or a timber supplier), the "too much mirror" issue would also be resolved – at a lower cost.
