we purchased the wall cabinet Godmorgon from IKEA as well as a countertop (which is 1.36m (4 ft 6 in) long), into which our built-in washbasin will be installed later. Our wall is made of hollow brick Unipor and has a thickness of 17.5cm (7 inches) in the installation area in the rough construction stage, plus plaster.
Now, like many others, I am wondering:
I really appreciate any tips or experiences you can share.

- Which screws and wall plugs (anchors) do I need to securely mount the Godmorgon cabinet to the wall?
- Once the countertop with the built-in washbasin is installed on top, should it be additionally supported with brackets (heavy-duty brackets)? If so, which kind?
I really appreciate any tips or experiences you can share.

In the small bathroom with two wall cabinets, there is a QR40x3mm, cut at a 60-degree angle on one side and cut straight on the other side since it is directly against the wall. In the large bathroom, there is a wall cabinet mounted on an angle bracket 30x30x4. Both made of 1.4301 stainless steel.

The original base cabinet seems to be made of ivory and baby walrus teeth at that price.
So my question is, has anyone combined the Godmorgon with a different “branded basin”?
The whole thing should blend together quite seamlessly on top, without a countertop or other extras.

We’re planning basically the same thing and haven’t found any information on it yet..And indeed, only the Godmorgon basin works properly – that’s why we chose 2 countertop basins. For the kids’ bathroom, we used the original Godmorgon basin – pretty good for the price.
