ᐅ Ikea Faktum sink base cabinet, crossbar, and back panel placement

in the assembly instructions for my Faktum sink base cabinet, it is clearly specified at what height the metal crossbar on the back must be installed and that the half back panel should be aligned precisely at the top. However, the crossbar is positioned exactly in front of the drain pipe, and overall my water connection is quite high. Would it be advisable to reposition the crossbar and possibly lower the back panel slightly? Would this affect the stability in any way?

That’s a good question whether this has anything to do with stability. I don’t have this cabinet myself. But it’s probably not a coincidence that this spot was chosen for the crossbar.

I recently had the same issue and repositioned the rod, even installing everything without a back panel. The countertop holds everything perfectly tight for me.
