Tammy_541710 Feb 2014 09:13Hello everyone,
I have a small installation issue with the horizontal wall cabinet of the Faktum kitchen.
Unfortunately, the door does not stay open at the top when I open it. I can’t make sense of the assembly instructions.
Where the screwdriver is supposed to be inserted to adjust the weight of the door (so that it stays open at the top), there is no screw to adjust.
Is that correct? Or is the adjustment made somewhere else?
I would be very grateful for any help 🙂

IKEA-Experte10 Feb 2014 14:46If I remember correctly, it’s more of a conical pinion than a regular screw head that is driven by a Phillips screwdriver. Maybe Nordkäppchen can give a more detailed description of how it looks inside the hole.

Many thanks to the Ikea expert!
I was also struggling with the Ikea instructions. The problem is that once the door is attached, you can’t see where to insert the screwdriver or what size to use. Only when I used a power drill did it immediately work. Great to have the links to the video tutorials. Excellent, I’m impressed.
Best regards from Hamburg
