blubb2kHello,
The instructions for the Faktum base kitchen cabinets differentiate between versions that end with either drawers/slides or only doors:
For drawers, the brackets for wall mounting should be screwed into holes 4 and 5, while for doors they belong in holes 1 and 2.
However, the holes on the back panel are ALWAYS aligned with holes 1 and 2. What do you do for drawer cabinets then? Do you drill new additional holes in the back panel?
Although this is not exactly related, maybe someone knows:
My electrician asked me to already get the oven connection cables.
How are the Framtid OV9 oven and the Barmhärtig cooktop above it connected? Do I need two 5-core cables for the appliance junction box in the wall, or is only the cooktop connected with such a cable, and the power for the oven is fed from the cooktop?
Thanks for any information!

IKEA-Experte15 Jan 2013 14:26Hello,
for a standard base cabinet (60cm deep (24 inches)), the bracket does not need to be mounted any lower. Do you have a link to the installation manual?
In the oven’s user manual, you will find the required information regarding the wiring.
The oven and cooktop are connected separately to the appliance connection box with their own cables.
For the cooktop, I would recommend using a 4 x 2.5mm² (AWG 14) appliance connection cable (Tmax 90°C (194°F) or higher). If that is not available, then use 5 x 2.5mm² (AWG 14). One conductor will remain unused. The cable should be long enough to allow the cooktop, or a service technician, to remove it even while the cable is still connected.

Actually, this distinction with the angles only applies to the 37cm (15 inches) deep base cabinets:
for example, here on page 16.
With the 60cm (24 inches) deep ones, there is no problem, but what about the 37cm (15 inches) ones? Do I need to drill new holes for the wall mounting in the back panel?
And regarding the oven: for this, I will also buy a 3-5 core connection cable that, in addition to the cooktop, connects to the cooker connection box. Is that correct?

IKEA-Experte15 Jan 2013 15:42With the 37cm (15 inches) deep cabinet, the drawer slide would collide with the mounting bracket in the top position. Naturally, an additional hole must then be drilled in the back panel. To do this, simply drill through from the inside to the outside using a large wood drill bit once everything is assembled. Hold a board against the back to ensure a clean hole.
The three-core cable runs directly from the oven to the wall junction box.

one more thing about the electrical appliances. How your electrician connects the appliances is up to them, as they also have to guarantee their work.
Normally, with Ikea appliances, the cooktop is intended to be connected to the cooktop socket and the oven to a 16A protected outlet. If both appliances are to be connected to the cooktop socket, this should only be done using a splitter. Please keep the warranty in mind regarding this.
