Hello everyone,

I bought the domsjö single sink in the countertop-mounted version.

It is secured to the base cabinet with two cam dowels and metal brackets. When tightening, I already heard a very unpleasant grinding noise the first time the cam dowel (or its teeth) lightly touched the ceramic, so I’m hesitant to tighten it properly. As a result, the sink wiggles slightly inside the cabinet.

So my question to you is: how tightly can I fasten these screws without risking damage to the basin?

Best regards, Markus

Hello, did you feel around the hole to check if there are any threads that were grinding? Since no torque is specified, you can only tighten it based on feel. If the basin wobbles, place a suitable shim under it at one or two points beforehand.

I loosened the sink once more and tightened it again. The second time, there was no more cracking noise, and the sink is firmly in place. No idea what was wrong before.
