Hello everyone.
We have purchased the domsjö single bowl sink, and now the question is which countertop thickness we should choose.
We decided on plywood, which unfortunately is only available in 3.5cm (3.7cm with the Resopal coating) or 4cm (4.2cm with Resopal). It has always been said that a minimum countertop thickness of 3.8cm is required for the sink... What would speak against 3.5cm (or 3.7cm)? The sink rests on the countertop anyway.
I can imagine that the only potential issue might be with the two clamps underneath the sink that secure it to the cabinet...?
Otherwise, would being 1 mm too thin be a significant problem?

Thank you very much for your help!

Hello, I’m not really sure, but I think the 38mm (1.5 inches) probably comes from the fact that this is the standard thickness for countertops, and 1mm (0.04 inches) doesn’t make a difference.
