Hello everyone,
I really need your help because I want to buy an IKEA sofa. (Blekinge and Kivik are my favorites.) Unfortunately, I can't find anywhere online how deep the seating area is. I would like a sofa with relatively deep seats, but for personal reasons, I am unable to try sitting on it in an IKEA store myself. Personally, I have experience with the KLIPPAN sofa, which is very uncomfortable after sitting for a long time.
Thank you very much for your answers!

I just bought two Blekinge 3-seater sofas.
I really like the seat depth; you can even lie down and take a nap... Unfortunately, I’m not very slim. The Ektorp was too narrow for me. And I just measured it for you:
From the very front (the seat cushion slightly overlaps the edge there) to the back cushion, I measured 68cm (27 inches). When you sit, it should be a bit more because the back sinks into the back cushion.

Hello Schneckchen!
Thank you for your quick response!
Great that you measured it right away.
Could you tell me which cover you used for the Blekinge? I think the Dansbo medium red or dark gray looks good, but unfortunately I can't see the covers in person, so that's why I'm asking.

Schneckchen23 Sep 2012 16:41You’re welcome!
Despite having two small children, I chose the simple Blekinge white because I can wash the cover at 60°C (140°F).
My home has more of a country-style decor, so red wouldn’t have fit well. I also liked the Tullinge gray-brown. However, according to the label, it can only be dry cleaned. In the long run, that’s just too expensive for me.
I can rub out smaller stains directly with baby wipes.
