ᐅ IKEA BESTA VARA half-height doors do not fit the IKEA BESTA shelving unit.

althirHello,
I’m getting really frustrated. I bought half-height doors (BESTA VARA) and drawers for the Besta shelving unit. For the shelf that should align flush with the top of the door or drawer, there are different shelf supports to position the shelf further forward. Unfortunately, the shelf doesn't fit because the support sticks out about half a millimeter (0.02 inches) beyond the holes. I hope you know what I mean.
I’m sure Ikea must have had a reason for this 😉 How do I get this *** shelf in there? Am I missing something? In my opinion, this is a design flaw. Even with force, I haven’t been able to get it in, and even if I did, there would be a small gap on both sides of the shelf. The supports don’t go any further into the holes either.
Regards,
Oli
