Hello forum,

I bought a Besta shelving unit today. One section has a door, the middle part is open shelving, and there are drawers at the bottom. However, I noticed a gap of just under 2 cm (about 0.8 inches) in two places at the back, because the shelves seem to be 2 cm (0.8 inches) shorter than the internal depth of the cabinet.

I found information online about separately available longer shelves that can cover this gap (for doors/drawers). However, I couldn’t find anything on Ikea’s website (it would need to be 56 x 38 cm (22 x 15 inches), white), nor with other shelving systems. Have they really discontinued these? It can’t be that they now only sell shelves that are too short and every buyer has to live with a large gap inside the cabinet.

Did I miss something, or does anyone have a solution?
