Hello everyone,

I bought the "Besta" shelving unit (item numbers: 80134048 and 70134044) along with the matching doors "Besta Tofta" (1 x 90178466 and 7 x 50178468).

Both the shelves and the doors came with screws for securing the shelves (insert shelves) inside the cabinet. Why is that? And why are there different screw systems?

With the screw set from the "Besta" shelving unit, I can install the shelves flush against the back panel. With the screw set from the doors, I can attach them either flush with the wall or flush with the door. Why is that? Why does installing the shelf flush with the door create a large gap between the shelf and the back panel? What is the purpose of this? Why isn’t the shelf flush with both the back panel and the door?

I would really appreciate it if someone could help explain this. The shelves can’t be wrong since they came with the units.

Best regards,
Frank
