Hello, we have the following problem while assembling a Besta chest of drawers:

We have two carcasses stacked, the bottom one is 64 cm (25 inches) high and the one above is 38 cm (15 inches) high. In total, there are three "Selsviken" drawers with push-to-open closures: one drawer 38 cm (15 inches) high at the top, one at the bottom with the same height, and one in the middle with a height of 26 cm (10 inches). This means that two drawers need to fit into the lower, taller carcass, but that is exactly the problem because they don’t fit. Either the upper, smaller drawer is about 1 cm (0.4 inches) too high or too low, depending on which hinge holes are used – we have already tried everything.

The chest was displayed exactly like this fully assembled in Ikea, so it has to be possible somehow.

Has anyone else had this issue and knows a solution?

Thanks!
Taco

Hello,

have you noticed the different fastening method for the bottom drawer front? Compare pages 9 and 10 of the assembly instructions:
