Hello everyone,
it's me again.
Today I went to IKEA and bought integral door dampers (just one pack to test first). I actually wanted to install the dampers in the living room wall unit. I tested them on a small dresser I’ve already assembled. Unfortunately, they don’t fit.
Do the integral hinges fit into the Besta cabinets?
If yes: Is it enough to have just one hinge with a damper, and will it work together with the Besta hinge?
So many questions.
Maybe you can help me out.

IKEA-Experte23 Feb 2012 17:04No, IKEA doesn’t have that. They do offer a lot, but IKEA is not a hardware store. The closest Japanese-style option would be sliding curtains with Kvartal. It doesn’t quite fit the theme of this thread.

IKEA-Experte24 Feb 2012 13:13What do you mean by prefabricated solutions for cabinets with sliding doors? For the Pax cabinets, sliding doors are available and sold separately, but they are not suitable as a replacement for a room door, unless you have a high door threshold and are able to do some DIY work.
