Hello everyone,
it's me again.
Today I went to IKEA and bought integral door dampers (just one pack to test first). I actually wanted to install the dampers in the living room wall unit. I tested them on a small dresser I’ve already assembled. Unfortunately, they don’t fit.
Do the integral hinges fit into the Besta cabinets?
If yes: Is it enough to have just one hinge with a damper, and will it work together with the Besta hinge?
So many questions.
Maybe you can help me out.

The hinges for BESTA are from Lama. There are Glissando TS or BL dampers available for those. I’m not sure if these also fit the hinges made for IKEA. It could also be difficult to get these dampers at all. Thanks,
The Hettich part does not fit. The drilling holes are too far apart.
The Glissando TS looks really great and is exactly what I’m looking for.
But I just realized that they seem to be unavailable here.
I can’t imagine these are the only ones of this kind.
They are actually perfect since they can fit almost any cabinet door...
If anyone knows where to get them, please, please, please share the source.
Yesterday I took some measurements and ordered something on eBay. Let’s see if it fits. I’ll let you know.

mgrille8120 Feb 2012 10:33Hello,
here is my brief review.
The hinges are from GTV PRESTIGE (at least that's what it says).
The dampers are well integrated and hardly noticeable. They fit perfectly with the included LAMA hinges. The door closes very smoothly, even if you replace only one hinge. If the damping effect is too weak, you can simply install two of them.
Overall, highly recommended, especially at this price.
Best regards

A reasonable alternative to the universal pack of six that was available until a few years ago. And for those who do not have the matching hinge system.

I didn’t want to screw anything into the cabinets. It just doesn’t look good.
Attaching it onto the hinge or having it integrated there is a less noticeable solution.
And it works really well.
Best regards
I've had enough; I'm finally looking for an alternative to regular doors. We wanted sliding doors between our kitchen and living room. I haven't found much here in the forum or on their website either. Could you possibly help me? It should be somewhat in the Japanese style. Do they have something like this at Ikea?
