Hello everyone,

I wanted to buy a new duvet and, of course, first checked the Ikea website. They list "warmth levels," I think from 1 to 6... What would you recommend for winter? I already have a summer duvet.

I hadn’t heard of warmth levels for duvets before, so I’m not sure which one I should choose.

So I think you can forget about the first and second heating levels for winter...

I personally have, I believe, level four – which works great for me, but it really depends on whether you get cold easily or not.

Hello bea,

The first question is how you feel during winter. Do you get cold quickly, or are you just a bit chilly?

Next, it’s important to consider the inner material. Down, for example, and so on.

Generally speaking, I can say you won’t make a mistake with level 5 if you find a summer duvet too cold in winter.

For winter, I use setting 5, and for high summer, setting 1. However, setting 1 is very thin! It is only recommended for very warm summer nights.

Hi,

for any further questions, I recommend the MYSA VETE 1 3:

One blanket for all seasons:
a cool, lightweight summer blanket and a slightly thicker one, which together form an especially warm, cozy winter duvet. The filling with a high down content makes the blanket particularly soft and provides thermal insulation. The down/feather blend filling helps regulate moisture.
Breathable cotton cover: the blanket stays cool and dry.

With the temperatures outside, I of course used both together and honestly don’t want to get up again.

Best regards,
Alex
