The 120cm (47 inch) corner base cabinet has two shelves that can be pivoted out and then pulled out—basically a budget version of the LeMans system by Kesseböhmer. This allows easy access to everything inside. However, the maximum load capacity of 12 kg (26 lbs) per shelf is quite low. The shelves only cover part of the cabinet and can therefore only be loaded to a limited extent. I also noticed that over time the shelves tended to sag somewhat. There is also a design flaw with the pivot axes (two simple metal pins). They wear out, and you will often find some metal debris inside the cabinet.

With 60cm (24 inch) wide pull-outs, you don’t lose much space and gain higher load capacity. That’s why I installed deep pull-outs in my corner cabinet.

I didn’t want to leave the corner completely unused, so I installed two simple drawers there. Of course, access to these is not very convenient, but they are practical for items you rarely use or for some supplies. If you skip at least one of the corner drawers, you could also consider adding an inner drawer above the upper pull-out.
