ᐅ Ideas for Building an Extension Above the Garage to Create Additional Living Space

Hello,
we need additional living space in our 2020 new build.
For that, we wanted to add a room above the garage.
After opening it up, it looks quite ugly.
Does anyone have any ideas?

This is how we will do it. I think it looks quite okay.

The structural engineer has already been here as well. He said that the wall around the garage door needs to be removed and rebuilt with a stronger lintel.
