Hello,
I have a few questions regarding the design of the base area.
I have attached a picture showing the gravel and these grounding wires that are present at every corner of the house.
What should I do with the wires?
The area with the gutter is also supposed to be removed.
I have two empty conduits that should go into the ground.
The other two will get a PL600 (which has an insert for removing debris from the gutters).
What can I do around the base to make it look attractive?
Different stones? White gravel and leveling behind it?
Maybe someone has some tips or suggestions, also in the form of pictures.
Many thanks to you all

The ground has been excavated, filled, and compacted with stones.
So, the area is very permeable to water.
There is no other way, since the concrete slab is located behind the gray base plaster.
The lightning protection sounds somewhat plausible.
Especially since I’ve already wondered why lightning rods are no longer installed on houses these days.
What do you mean by foundation earth electrode at the main electrical connection?

Hello,
is it advisable to install perimeter insulation between the foundation stones and the house wall?

Best regards, Barossi

A dimpled membrane (I know the type made of a black, harder plastic, but I don’t know the exact name) is sufficient. It is only needed to protect the base of the wall from damage by the stones.
If the excavation was made at least one meter (3 feet) wider than the slab on all sides and filled with sand, you don’t need to consider anything else.

I was wondering about the insulation as well. According to the construction company and various videos, it seems that it is no longer done. XPS insulation should be sufficient...
