So, your acquaintances and friends have limited mobility and want a bungalow? But you are fit? I don’t understand the reasoning behind why you want to do the same and make something a problem that isn’t one.

I’m having trouble understanding: is the tendency toward decreasing mobility your own reality, or is it a "future vision" from your friends that for everyone over 30 there are only a few happy adult years left, followed by frailty?

Thanks for the responses.
No, I have had 9 surgeries on the musculoskeletal system myself. So far, I can still manage everything, although I occasionally experience some pain. Regarding the plot of land, it was made available to me by my family, meaning I won’t be selling it. Well, it’s a bit of a dilemma, as the saying goes.

Just take some time to familiarize yourself with barrier-free building. Also, learn about the available assistive devices.

Talk to construction companies and others. Sloped sites are more expensive than flat ones. You can also install a platform lift or plan for its installation later.

Yes, with money everything is possible. I am building on my own and am on disability pension, so my budget is about 180,000 (approximately). With that, a normal, rather small bungalow would be feasible if you don’t have a company do every single task. That’s why I have concerns and why I turned to the forum—to explore other options to live more or less on one level without falling into endless debt. 🙂

Hello Tim Müller!
Build your bungalow with a single-sloped roof, preferably with a wide south-facing front, and integrate it directly into the hillside.

If it’s not possible without an additional floor, check out the website of ascendor Lifttechnik.
They likely have a good lift solution.
This company from Upper Austria/Mühlviertel is based in Herzogsdorf/Drautendorf and is becoming increasingly popular and larger.
By the way, the owning family also owns Biohort, where the storage solutions and garden sheds praised by user Nordlys are produced.
But now I’ll stop with the advertising—lol.
