Hello everyone, we are planning a new build with a prefabricated house supplier in NRW. We definitely want to install an ice storage heating system. The house will be designed in a very modern style (Bauhaus style). Which suppliers currently support this?

If done correctly, a dew point sensor is needed in the screed. The dew point of the air is not initially relevant. However, it is an economical solution to slightly buffer the temperature. It has nothing to do with air conditioning.

How large is the house supposed to be? The Bauhaus style only really works from a certain size onward. And cubist architecture is not the same as Bauhaus style…
Have you ever been to Dessau? They even have Bauhaus terraced houses there.

Hello. I am new here. I am also looking for a supplier of an ice storage heating system. Are there any people in the forum with experience on this? The one from Viessmann is too large and too expensive for me; I am looking for one that does not need to be buried.

Hello, I used to be a fan of the technology, but it’s not worth it. It’s technically too complex.

Alternative: If you have space in your garden, use a ring trench collector. It provides ideal supply temperatures for a water-to-water heat pump almost year-round. With some DIY work, it can even be cheaper than an air-to-water heat pump.

I find cooling with an underfloor heating system problematic. The temperature difference is only a few degrees, and you have the dew point issue.

It’s better to invest the saved money in a larger photovoltaic system and an air conditioning unit.
