Hello everyone, I recently bought a Kallax shelf unit from IKEA, and it is now placed on a stone floor inside my apartment. My question is: Is this generally not an issue, or could it cause problems in the long term? I am particularly concerned about stability, possible scratches on the floor, and how the stone floor might affect the shelf in terms of moisture or temperature. Has anyone had experience with this or any tips on what to watch out for? Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Felt pads on stone floors are usually the better choice. Okay, thanks for this advice. I will get some felt pads.

If you choose carpet, make sure it’s not too thick. I will keep that in mind, as I don’t want the shelf to be unstable.
Does anyone know of a material or brand of felt pads that is particularly suitable for a Kallax shelf on hard floors?
