What is the smarter choice?
A 9.9 kWp photovoltaic system is planned. How can its energy be used more economically and sustainably for heating?

Option 1) Hybrid heating with gas and air-to-water heat pump (quote approx. 18,500 euros)
Option 2) Gas heating with power-to-heat (quote approx. 10,000 euros)

Experiences and advice are welcome!
Thanks and regards

Clearly, a gas heating system is the most economical choice; anything else would not make financial sense.
How old are the radiators? Replacing them can be very beneficial if they are of a certain age.

Is the old heating system broken?
Otherwise, it is more effective to invest the money initially in insulation and renovation.
However, make sure to have a professional assessment beforehand to calculate what delivers how much benefit.

A heat pump affects your budget and the environment much more negatively than a gas heater because it is extremely inefficient. In this case, a pure gas heater has significant advantages! Solar panels still make sense if you are not concerned about a payback period longer than 10 years and want to do something good for the environment.
