Hello,

how would you optimally design the access path to a side entrance door here (please see the attachment)?
The goal is to preserve the maximum garden/green area, so as little paving as possible.
Please note that a light well (for basement living space) is also planned on the side.
Where the car is currently parked, a single garage might be built.
I would be very happy to receive any suggestions or ideas.

Thank you very much

Construction could start in about 4 to 6 weeks, I believe some floor plan adjustments are still possible.

Less 😉
I would have put a bit more thought into a semi-detached house than what the builder has suggested – but with a builder, not everything is possible, so you should set aside what could have been. Changes like that usually result in modifications to the building and require a new building permit / planning permission.

I would probably extend the planned carport up to the entrance level and then add a trellis or something similar at some point.
Also, a paved area on the west side so the carport can be used for gatherings. Meanwhile, the car can be parked behind a hedge along the driveway 🙂

Actually, you’re asking about the design of the semi-detached house’s garden… but for that, I need more input from you. Why, how, and in what way the garden is intended to be used. What are your wishes for the garden besides having a minimal driveway, and why is it desired that way?
For example, costs, maximizing lawn area?

If I were to place the two parking spaces right up to the entrance, I would unfortunately lose a lot of green/garden area.
The goal is to minimize paved surfaces and thus maximize green/garden space.
1.- One parking space + garage = 11m x 2.5m (36ft x 8ft 2in)
2.- Terrace
3.- Light well
4.- Access paths
