ᐅ How warm does the boiler room get – does a heating system emit radiant heat?

Hello. Today I have a perhaps rather silly question. A gas heating system is planned for our heating room, which is located on the ground floor. Does such a heater emit a lot of heat? How warm do you think it usually is in a heating room with a gas heater?

We have underfloor heating, a heat pump (not a split system) with an integrated domestic hot water tank, the heating storage tank, and various electronics (NAS, switch, router, cable connection, multiswitch) all located in a fairly small utility room (6m² (65ft²)). In winter, it is always a bit warmer there than in the rest of the house (about 2°C (36°F)).
I also know that in my old apartment, the gas boiler (or rather the exhaust pipe) heated the kitchen, which didn’t have its own heating.

If it gets warm, then something was done wrongI fully agree with you! I come from the HVAC field, and a gas condensing boiler should not emit heat into the room. If it does, there is something wrong with the condensing boiler!
Good luck

Knallkörper11 Jan 2018 13:14It's not just about the gas boiler! In our case, the utility room is usually the warmest of all, because the ground floor manifold for the underfloor heating is located at the back, with 7 heating circuits, meaning 14 supply and return pipes. But that doesn't really matter, as long as you don't plan to store food there.
