ᐅ How can I transfer the Ikea Pax planner to a shopping list like with the 3D planner?

BanditoHello,
as a fan of the IKEA forum and a newcomer to IKEA, I need your help...
We are planning to buy a new kitchen – I need a total of 7 linear meters (23 feet) of kitchen fronts.
The sales representative at the local kitchen studio quoted me around 10,000€ for it, while a cheaper option would be about 8,000€.
So I’m considering IKEA and building it myself... I have already designed my new kitchen in the 3D planner, and now I would like to check if all the parts are available at my local IKEA. Do I have to enter each item individually on the IKEA website to check stock availability, or can I transfer my plan into a shopping list that I can check all at once?
As far as I know, this is possible with the IKEA PAX planner...
Thank you very much,
Micha

The process at Ikea is as follows:
After planning your kitchen using the online planner, you go to Ikea and review the plan with a staff member from the kitchen department. They check the plan, and often small adjustments are made.
Then the staff member creates two lists: List 1 includes all items you need to pick yourself from the shelves, and List 2 includes all items available only at the goods pickup area. These are mainly fronts and side panels.
It is recommended to go directly to the checkout with List 2 and pay for those items. Meanwhile, the goods will be prepared at the pickup area while you use List 1 to collect the products from the shelves yourself.
When you pay for these at the checkout, the items from List 2 are usually ready for pickup at the goods area.
If any items are out of stock, you will be informed immediately in the kitchen department after receiving the lists.
Of course, you can also view the shopping list yourself in the online planner, but it won’t be 100% accurate since it hasn’t been checked. If you then check the availability of each product on the website, you will only get stock information for the items on List 1.
Best regards

Thank you very much for the information!
So far, I have only been to Ikea once, where we bought the mentioned Pax wardrobe—and used the shopping service...
That's why the concept of List 1 & 2 was completely new to me; I thought you had to pick everything yourself from the warehouse...
So, that already makes things clearer for me.
I understand that my plan should be checked by an employee, but I would have liked to verify beforehand whether all the parts are in stock according to my plan. If I saw that some parts were not available, I would simply go to a different Ikea.
What has been your experience with product availability? Do they usually have everything in stock, or does it happen frequently that you end up empty-handed...?

IKEA-Experte21 Feb 2015 18:10It mainly depends on the fronts. Some are generally not in stock, such as the black carcasses. Popular fronts like Bodbyn are still unavailable. I would also ask whether the chosen front and handles will be discontinued soon.

It should not be problematic. Just check a few doors.
