Hello,

In my garage, there is a very rough concrete floor that is 3 years old. It has many grooves about 5mm-10mm (0.2-0.4 inches) deep, as if the previous owner wanted to increase grip for the tires.

I would like to have a neat, smooth surface.

Do you have any tips on how I can achieve this? I would prefer to do it myself to save costs.

Thanks!
Marius

Hmm, why would you need traction in the garage?
Please provide pictures.

Here are the requested photos

The only thing I can think of is self-leveling screed or leveling compound. Or does the garage have a slope?

Otherwise, some people tile the garage.

Thank you for your reply. I am concerned that leveling compound would not support a car jack, motorcycle stand, or axle stands. Or do you see it differently?
What could I put on top of the leveling compound to make it more durable? PVC covering?
Tiles are unfortunately not an option for financial and aesthetic reasons. By the way, the garage is 54 square meters (581 square feet).

I would not recommend a completely smooth surface. When it is wet, it becomes slippery.
Self-leveling compound, industrial floor coating is best applied with aggregate to prevent slipping.
