Hello everyone,

As a non-professional, I would like to insulate my basement myself. I am building with a precast basement from Schwörerhaus (basic basement): The exterior basement walls consist of two concrete shells with smooth surfaces, connected by reinforcing steel.

Now to my question:
I want to insulate this basement. One room will be heated later. What do I need for this?
Which materials? I have seen that often blue or pink boards/mats are used... what should I pay attention to here?
Do I still need bitumen? Adhesive? Waterproofing?
What is the proper wall assembly? 😕

Can anyone help me with this?

Thank you in advance..

INSULATION???? WHY????

Install a healthy and inexpensive heating system and forget about insulation. Radiant heating is the healthiest option for people. So install heating strips yourself and save 30% energy without insulation.

Kind regards 😕

Sorry hulix for my follow-up question, but since Schwörerhaus offers insulated basements, why don’t you just order an insulated basement right away?
