Hello everyone,

My front door doesn’t close properly, so I have to use force to lock it. Turning the key alone isn’t enough to open it; I always have to pull the door towards me.
I’ve noticed that the door fits tightly against the frame at the bottom, but not at the top.
The door doesn’t rub or get stuck, and it closes into the lock without any issues. The problem is only with locking it. I hope the gap is visible in the pictures.
What adjustment do I need to make to ensure the door fits properly at the top as well?

Thank you very much and best regards!

Hello,

I assume this concerns a property and a “proper” front door? Personally, I would have it done by a professional, preferably the company that installed the door. How long ago was that, or has it “always been like this”? (Regarding warranty / guarantee)

Have it done professionally because door hinges on front doors are usually covered and can be difficult for a layperson to remove without damage.

If it is “just” an apartment door and you are renting, you should speak with the landlord.

It is only the apartment door. Sorry, I probably expressed myself incorrectly, and I am the owner.

I would first check the strike plate to see where the problem lies. If necessary, adjustments can also be made here right away.

Unfortunately not. The strike plates cannot be adjusted, if those are the ones you mean.
It is a door from Bauhaus.
