ᐅ Can you attach an aluminum porch canopy to the lintel above the front door?

I have a small question or rather the following "issue": I want to install a canopy over my front door because it gets fully exposed to rain showers. I have ordered a Gutta aluminum canopy specifically for this purpose, which is mounted directly to the wall without posts or feet. Right above the door is the concrete lintel, about 30cm (12 inches) higher is the concrete ceiling. However, I would prefer not to drill into the ceiling because there are many cables running above the concrete lintel. Above the concrete ceiling, the roof is too high, making it both visually and practically unsuitable.
My idea is to drill into the concrete lintel above the door. Do you have any concerns about this, or is this an acceptable approach? Looking at some pictures online, it seems that due to the relatively low mounting height, this is often done.
