Hello forum,

We plan to install our kitchen slightly higher than the usual 88 cm (35 inches) plus 2.8 cm (1 inch) countertop thickness. The reason is the tile backsplash, which should align flush with the countertop but starts only at a height of 91.5 cm (36 inches).

So, we would need to adjust the cabinet legs to a height of 8.7 cm (3.4 inches). That part is manageable. However, the baseboards are only 8 cm (3.1 inches) high. Can I still install them so that the 0.7 cm (0.3 inches) gap remains at the top, in the hidden area?

Or will this result in a visible gap between the baseboard and the floor?

Thanks for the help!

Yes, of course.
