Hello forum,
I’m a bit stuck at the moment. Our dishwasher will be positioned at the very left edge of the new kitchen. So, I need to cover the left side of the dishwasher. Using a cut-to-size panel is certainly no problem.
But: how should I attach it? I obviously can’t drill from the inside of the dishwasher outward!
Thanks for the help.

The side panels are quite thin (13 mm (0.5 inches)), so you can only use screws around 3x10 mm (1/8x3/8 inches), which don’t hold very well. Also, a side panel is not really suitable to support your countertop.
Alternatively, you could use two side panels, so doubled. If you can't or don’t want to use anchors in the floor, it should be enough to secure the board(s) with brackets at the top, attaching them to the countertop and at the back to the wall.

The other issue is likely how to attach the side baseboard.
Usually, these are about 2cm (1 inch) set back from the side panel of the cabinet. So, if there is only a dishwasher on one side instead of a full cabinet, I would first install one side panel and then attach the cover panel on top. This basically simulates the missing cabinet on one side.
If this corner is freestanding, it otherwise looks quite bad.
