I bought a tall cabinet with a 140cm (55 inch) high door and 153° Utrusta hinges. Now I want to adjust the door’s position both horizontally and vertically because the door is not perfectly aligned.
According to the instructions, you are supposed to use the screw in the middle of the hinge to do this. Interestingly, it says you can adjust the door’s height and width with just one screw. How is that supposed to work?
The 125° hinges have three screws for this adjustment, but the 153° hinges have only two screws in total.

IKEA-Experte20 Feb 2017 11:40The hinge also has two adjustment screws. You can find the second one by opening the door about 45° and looking through the hole where the damper is attached.
There are also two adjustment screws on the hinge. You can find the second one by opening the door about 45° and looking through the hole where the damper is attached.I understand that already. I want to explain this in a bit more detail:
The Utrusta 125° hinge has three screws:
1. Screw (left, directly on the hinge): depth adjustment
2. Screw (center, directly on the cabinet carcass): height adjustment
3. Screw (right, directly on the hinge): lateral adjustment
However, the Utrusta 153° hinge has only two screws:
1. Screw (left, directly on the hinge): depth adjustment
2. Screw (center, directly on the cabinet carcass): height AND lateral adjustment
That means the third screw does not exist on the 153° hinge! If you check the manual for the 153° hinge, this is very clear. Additionally, according to this manual, the second screw is supposed to adjust both the height and the lateral position of the door. How is that supposed to work with only ONE screw for BOTH adjustments???

IKEA-Experte20 Feb 2017 12:28There are two screws accessible through the hole. One is located on the mounting plate, and the other one is to the left of it on the hinge.
There are two screws that can be accessed through the hole. One is on the mounting plate, the other is on the hinge to the left.Ah, you have to figure that out first if you only have the manual. So there are a total of three screws on the 153° hinge: the first screw on the left side of the hinge, the second screw through the hole on the mounting plate, and the third screw through the hole on the hinge.
Many thanks!
