I recently purchased an IKEA Brimnes furniture piece and have been thinking more about the following question: How reliable are the hinges on Brimnes furniture?
Specifically, I’m interested in whether the hinges can withstand long-term use and stress, and if there are common weak points that could lead to issues such as warping, loosening, or even breakage.
It would also be helpful to know if IKEA provides any official information or recommendations regarding the load capacity or proper handling of the hinges on Brimnes furniture.
I don’t want the doors to stop closing properly after some time or even come off the hinges. If anyone has practical experience or informed opinions, I would be very grateful.

The hinges remain sturdy under normal use.
These are not heavy-duty furniture items, but everyday use is not likely to overload them.

IKEA furniture is designed for a broad audience, and issues like this tend to show. I still maintain that the hinges are somewhat weak for frequent use.

I am still wondering if anyone can share from personal experience whether the hinges on Brimnes can be negatively affected by heat, humidity, or contact with pets (e.g., cats).
I am renting and cannot actively control the room conditions, so I’m interested to know if the hinges are prone to issues under adverse conditions (e.g., high humidity).
