So far, our information is that it requires a space of 4 x 8 meters (13 x 26 feet). 😱 (single-family house)
The company is busy for years and has no interest in coming by for a consultation beforehand.
The drilling does not have a very large diameter… I assume the space is needed for the drilling work. Afterwards (hopefully) not much will be visible.
My wife is concerned that the entire front yard will be "destroyed," and so far I haven’t been able to convince her otherwise because I don’t know any better myself 🙄
Does anyone have pictures of this kind of work on a house?

However, you do need space for the drilling operation. The equipment is large: drilling rig, wheel loader, truck with containers for the drilling mud…

And yes, the flowers in the front garden probably won’t survive.

Thank you very much for the quick responses.
I think the main thing to consider is the machine that actually does the drilling because it needs to be positioned exactly where the hole is supposed to be.
Most of the other stuff (waste and so on) can probably be arranged cleverly somewhere without completely blocking the narrow street.
At the moment, I only have this picture, which shows the front garden from one side.
At the other end of the street-facing property, there is a garage forecourt for two vehicles, which offers a bit more room for maneuvering.

WilderSueden1 Aug 2022 15:36You can certainly create space by partially or fully closing off the street. However, if you do this in the front yard, a section of the hedge will have to be removed. This is probably less work than tearing up the driveway pavement.
Where is your utility room located? Ideally, drilling should be done as close to the utility room as possible. After all, you still need a trench leading to the utility room and a core drilling.
