Hello dear community,

we have previously asked in a similar thread about how much structural engineering should cost for a multi-family house.
My question is:
Is it possible to calculate the cost of structural engineering yourself (e.g., with a formula, etc.)?
Or how can I be sure that the prices are reasonable?

Best regards

Yes, there is the HOAI, or you can agree on a fixed price.

Alternatively, you can take a practical approach by obtaining and comparing three quotes.

Google Hoai calculator, then select structural engineering, enter HZIII and about 90% of the pure construction costs.
For a budget of €1,000,000, this results in approximately €90,000.
If it is a simple house (all floors the same, masonry, reinforced concrete slabs...), you will likely receive a significantly lower offer.
