Hello,
I cannot install tall cabinets in my kitchen (structurally not possible).
So I have to fit everything below + 1 tall cabinet + 1 corner cabinet with a swing-out door.
I strongly assume that drawer cabinets are more expensive than regular cupboard cabinets?
But never mind...
How many large drawers would you recommend? Not the small ones for cutlery and the like.
I was thinking of storing cups, glasses, plates here. Although I also have a display cabinet in the dining room for that purpose.
Do you think one base cabinet about 1 meter (3.3 feet) wide and another about 0.5 meter (1.6 feet) wide as drawer cabinets would be enough?

Determining the Working Height
Three methods have become established:
- Measure from the bent elbow to the floor and subtract 15 cm (6 inches)
- Measure the height of the pelvic bone
- For example, use an ironing board at different heights to do some test chopping and measuring, choosing the height that feels most comfortable; this is the most important test .
Ideally, all three methods result in roughly the same value.
High baseboards are actually addressed with taller cabinet units, which usually provide additional storage space as well.
It is no coincidence that Ikea increased their cabinet height from 70 to 80 cm (28 to 31.5 inches) to accommodate changing habits.
Previously common: working height of 85 to 86 cm (33.5 to 34 inches)
Currently common: working height starting at 90 cm (35.5 inches), but ideally individually adjusted.
Many standard kitchen manufacturers therefore offer two to three different cabinet heights to create adapted work zones within a kitchen. For example, the sink area is usually higher, the chopping/prep area medium to high, and the cooking/dough-kneading area somewhat lower.

A lower height would also be uncomfortable for me. My current kitchen is under 90cm (35 inches), I think even only 87cm (34 inches)... which is especially bad when washing dishes.
Now, I almost only have drawers since there is no cabinet space.
Does anyone have front panels in a country style?
I’m still a bit undecided here. Modern seems to be smooth surfaces right now, but I don’t really like them that much.
I just don’t know if country style works well visually with mostly drawers, or if it gets lost.
Any experiences?

Although I am only 161 cm (5 feet 3 inches) tall, a work height of 89 cm (35 inches) works best for me.Important for ladies – if they are the primary cooks, measure with the heel or sole height of the shoes usually worn at home.
