How long should you wait to start painting after plastering and after the screed has been laid? The screed was done 3 1/2 weeks ago, and the plastering was completed 5 1/2 weeks ago. The underfloor heating’s heating-up program has been running for one week. The rooms are now ventilated twice a day by fully opening the windows, which probably doesn't help much in the current cold and damp weather. The indoor humidity is currently around 80%. The floor tiles were installed immediately on the fresh screed. The wall tiles are being installed this week. All tiles are scheduled to be grouted by next week at the latest. How long should one wait before starting the painting work?
Ventilate by fully opening the windows until the humidity level is below 60% before starting ventilation, which can take 2–4 weeks. Then painting can be done, but moisture levels may rise above 80% again. After that, ventilate carefully and thoroughly to dry the space. Ideally, the house should be completed at this stage, and you can move in.

This is a clear indication that the plaster and screed are nowhere near dry.
There is no need for any measurements in this case...

I think most people considered it not a good idea, but now the ship has already sailed.

If the indoor humidity is 80% RH, ventilation must be done in a way that the indoor temperature is usually not suitable for tile installation.
Besides that, I don’t know any tile installer who would want to work at 80% RH :-P
