Hello everyone, I am currently planning to assemble an IKEA Brimnes furniture piece and would like to get a realistic estimate of the time I should set aside. My specific question is: How long should I expect to spend assembling IKEA Brimnes furniture if you are reasonably handy but have no professional experience with furniture assembly? Are there any general timeframes, such as one hour, two hours, or even more? I want to manage my time well and would appreciate detailed estimations, including any tips on factors that might significantly affect the time required.

You should also plan about 10 minutes to check all screws and tool parts to make sure everything is there.

I believe this point definitely deserves closer attention. Some people underestimate that not only the assembly time but also the possible need to reorder or search for missing parts can significantly increase the total time required.

Additionally, I would like to offer a critical remark: the 1.5 hours often mentioned might be accurate under ideal conditions, but anyone without prior experience or assembling the furniture for the first time should consider this more as a minimum estimate.

Valerie-tr’s note about specifying the exact type of furniture is also important because, in my opinion, the time needed to assemble a two-piece Brimnes nightstand is not comparable to that required for a large bed.

I assembled my Brimnes bed alone in just under 2 hours, including using the instructions for guidance. The only tools I needed were the ones included in the set.

My advice: Be patient and read the instructions carefully. The time can hardly be any shorter if you want to do everything correctly.
