Hello everyone,
I am planning to buy the IKEA Brimnes wardrobe but am unsure how much time I should allocate for assembly. My specific question is: How long does it usually take to assemble an IKEA BRIMNES wardrobe on average when using the included instructions and having at least some experience with furniture assembly?
It would be great if you could also share whether the assembly times vary significantly depending on the model version or the number of doors. I appreciate any tips!

Also, I sometimes find it difficult to identify the screws. How do you handle this during your assembly?Regarding screws:
I recommend sorting all small parts into small, transparent containers or organized boxes before starting assembly. The IKEA instructions clearly number the parts, making it easier to match the screws accordingly.
Tip: Read through each assembly step to see which screws are needed, and only take them out at that point. This helps avoid mix-ups and unnecessary searching time.

Use a cordless drill with a torque limiter for screwing to speed up the process without damaging the material. That’s a very helpful tip. I would like to add:
- Make sure not to use the cordless drill on too high a setting, as the thin particleboard can tear out easily.
- For door hinges, I recommend working step by step and initially tightening the screws only lightly to allow for fine adjustments of the position.
Another common pitfall I often see is mixing up the back panels. The thin boards are delicate, so it’s better to attach them to the remaining walls as early as possible to gain stability and avoid damage.
How do you plan to position the cabinet? Are there any space restrictions? That can sometimes affect the assembly process.
